The England U21 Women enjoyed a successful series against Spain over the Easter weekend in Terrassa.
It was a first test for a newly selected group, including five players receiving their first U21 caps.
Led by an outstanding leadership group, the squad grew over the three games, finishing with a strong 3-0 victory with some exciting passages of attacking hockey against a skilful, direct Spanish team.
Mark Moss, acting Head Coach for the series, said: “It was a pleasure to see the girls coming together, developing as a squad on and off the pitch. The final day’s dominant performance was evidence of developing connections and confidence in principles throughout the series. The squad’s grit and relentlessness were exceptional.”
