Community effort to have CBC Olympic Coverage
Field Hockey Canada is disappointed that the CBC will not be broadcasting the entirety of the Olympic field hockey competition in Canada. As a nation rich in cultural diversity and home to a thriving and passionate field hockey community (many of whom are newcomers to Canada), we believe it is essential for Canadians to have the opportunity to watch and support the men’s and women’s field hockey competitions at the 2024 Paris Games. Field hockey is one of the most popular sports worldwide, and it deserves recognition and coverage in Canada. We urge CBC to reconsider its decision and ensure that our community and all sports fans can share in the excitement and pride of watching our incredible sport at its highest level.
