A fantastic goal by Cammy Golden gave Scotland men a 1-0 victory over Chile in the FIH Series Finals in Le Touquet. Scotland will now take on hosts France in the semi-finals on Saturday.

Five goal hauls see Japan and Chile win through to the semi-finals

Hiroshima, Japan: The first crossover match of the FIH Series Finals in Hiroshima saw host nation Japan beating Poland by a convening 5-0 scoreline.  Chile beat neighbours and close rivals Uruguay in the Southern American clash, also scoring five goals, but conceding two.

Scotland men defeat Egypt with sensational late winner

A sensational late winner by Kenny Bain gave Scotland men a 3-2 win over Egypt in their final Pool match of FIH Series Finals in Le Touquet. The result puts the Scots in at least the quarter finals as they progress in the tournament.

Russia are surprise package in pool B as they defeat Chile and India to secured their ticket for the semi-finals

The last day of pool matches took place under a warm sunny sky in Hiroshima. In Pool A, a draw for Poland against Uruguay (0-0) was enough for them to finish second in their pool, India had a comfortable win over Fiji, thereby moving directly to the semi-finals. In Pool B, Japan beat goals Mexico 6-0, and Russia were the surprise winners over Chile, finishing top of their pool.

Bonus Point seals the Grand Final for Netherlands

As the Men’s FIH Pro League rolled in to town one last time (before moving to the Stoop), this one had a lot of interest and intrigue building around it.  Not because, coming in to the game, Great Britain need nothing less than a win to stay in contention of reaching the Grand Finals in two weeks time, nor was it due to welcoming one of the most attacking teams in the world, the Netherlands, to the Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre.
