GERMANY: MANNHEIMER HC IS A DOUBLE GERMAN CHAMPION

Last weekend the Final 4 of the German Indoor Hockey Championship took place in Frankfurt am Main. The four best women’s and men’s teams fought for the title of the best indoor hockey team in Germany. In the end, Mannheimer HC prevailed twice in the penalty shootout and can now call themselves “double German champions”. Congratulations!

Not a hat trick for the Düsseldorfer HC, but the second indoor title after 2016 for the women of the Mannheimer HC. In the final of the 62nd German Indoor Championships, the South Germans beat the defending champions 3-2 in the shoot-out after a 3-3 (0-2) draw. In the final, the Mannheim team defeated UHC-Hamburg.

Almost three hours after the women, the men from Mannheimer HC also grabbed the blue pennant. After a 5:5 (2:2) draw and subsequent 2:0 in the shoot-out over local rivals TSV Mannheim, the MHC men won their third title after 2010 and 2022 in the 62nd German indoor final. They were defeated in the semi-finals the Mannheimers the HTHC from Hamburg.
