With the exception of the Mixed Championships where there are still a couple of weeks left to enter, the deadline for the England Hockey Championships has now passed.
Nearly 1600 teams are set to be involved in the national knockout competitions in the coming season and entry levels have increased overall with over 50 more teams getting their names ‘into the hat’ for the opening rounds which, for the juniors begins on 08 October and for the seniors, on 28 October.
It is the Women’s Tier 4 Championships that has seen the biggest growth overall this season showing a 72% increase on the 2022/23 season with an impressive 67 teams set to be involved in 2023/24 versus just 39 last season. There’s also been an encouraging increase in the Women’s Masters entries with the Over 55s Championships seeing a 33% increase on last season and the Over 45s Championships seeing an increase of 11% against the 22/23 season.
The adult and masters teams who have entered can be seen on the graphics below – if you think your club should have been entered and you can’t see their name on the list, please email jo.stratfull@englandhockey.co.uk with ‘Missing Entry’ in the subject line.
Draws will be issued by Friday 29 September.
