The start of league 2025-2026 is getting closer and closer. Before that happens, we take one last look back: five unique stats from last season in Tulp Hoofdklasse, now in the men’s competition.
1️⃣ Janssen is Mister 1-0
The Eredivisie has Ajax player Davy Klaassen, the Tulp Hoofdklasse has Jip Janssen. Both are specialists in scoring opening goals. Kampong’s penalty-corner canon broke the score open in a game last season with nine of his 24 goals, more than anyone else. With 33 opening goals, Janssen is King 1-0 among all still active players in the Hoofdklasse.
2️⃣ Goal-scoring explosion Miles Bukkens
Pinoké striker Miles Bukkens had to leave last season’s top scorer title to penaltycornerman Timo Boers (Den Bosch), but he can proudly review his 27 goals. He scored more than in the four (!) previous seasons combined (26). Bukkens also hit no fewer than 16 goals in away games, more than any other player.

3️⃣ Den Bosch unbeatable at home
The men of Den Bosch were the only team to remain unbeaten on their own field in the complete last season. At the Oosterplas, coach Nanco Jansonius’ formation achieved eight wins and drew three times. Only Kampong, Bloemendaal and Oranje-Rood kept something from a visit to Den Bosch.
4️⃣ Spectacle in home matches Oranje-Rood
Anyone who could regularly be found in the stands at Oranje-Rood last season will not have been bored. No fewer than 73 goals were scored in the Eindhoven side’s eleven home matches: 43 by the hosts and 30 by the away team. Klein Zwitserland’s home performances were the least exciting. There, only 38 goals in total fell, divided equally between the home team and the visitors.

5️⃣ Five goals average per matches
Last season, the 132 games in the regular league produced a total of 663 goals, an average of just over five goals per game. It had been a few years since the men’s goalscoring moyenne exceeded five (5.06 in 2020-2021 season). The record dates back to 2008-2009: 5.92 goals per matches.
