AH&BC Amsterdam have added England star Fiona Crackles and Australia’s Kaitlin Nobbs to their panel for their return to the EHL next Easter as they go in search of a third women’s title.

The club return to the competition after a two-year hiatus thanks to their run to the Dutch title last year in the playoffs, winning the championship despite a fourth place finish in the regular season.

Since then, they have bolstered their line-up with Crackles adding to their dynamism in midfield with a move from Wimbledon while Nobbs comes in from the New South Wales Arrows.

They replace retired Sabine Plönissen while Li Hong has returned to China following one season with the club.

The other new additions to the panel ahead of the Hoofdklasse return on September 27th are youngsters Yara Akkerman and Roos Alkemade from HDM.

Reigning champions SCHC, meanwhile, also have a number of changes with Belgium duo Camille Belis and Louise Dewaet arriving from Braxgata.

On the goalkeeping front, Under-21 international Phileine Hazen comes in from Bloemendaal with Elodie Picard returning to Belgium where she will play with KHC Leuven.

Xan de Waard is the high profile retirement while Famke Richardson has also stepped back after a long spell in the first team. They open their campaign against HGC while Amsterdam start off against Oranje-Rood.
