New Delhi, 25th August: Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy, Har Hockey Academy, Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy, Sonepat, and SAI Bal won their respective Pool games on the second day of the 3rd Khelo India Junior Women’s Hockey League (Phase-2) in New Delhi today.
The first match of the day ended as a draw between SAI Shakti and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy in their Pool A match with a scoreline of 3-3. SAI Shakti’s goals were scored by Manisha (10′), Priyanka Dogra (45′), and Lalrinpuii (54′). Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy’s Sonam (18′), Gurmil Kaur (23′), and Karmanpreet Kaur (34′) all scored a goal each to claw back a point from the game.
The second game of the day saw Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy emerge triumphant over Salute Hockey Academy in their Pool A match with a scoreline of 11-2. Goals for Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy were scored by Namneet Kaur (3′, 34′, 42′, 51′, 55′, 66′), Sukhjeet Kaur (3′), Sweena Rani (6′, 47′, 53′), and Jaisikdeep Kaur (35′). Komal (13′), and Sakshi (44′) scored the two goals for Salute Hockey Academy.
The third match saw Har Hockey Academy defeat Citizen Hockey XI in their Pool A game with an exceptional score of 21-0. Har Hockey Academy’s scores were scored by their Captain Shashi Khasa (8′,23′), Bhteri (2′, 18′, 39′, 47′, 56′), Ishika (3′), Seema Rani (6′, 33′), Preeti (9′), Seema (10′, 46′), Kajal Malik (17′, 37′, 52′), Preeti (22′), Manju (31′), and Sukhpreet Kaur (39′, 40′, 44′).
Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy, Sonepat defeated Bhai Bhelo Hockey Academy, Bhagta by 9-0 in the fourth contest of the day from Pool B. Captain Kriti (53’), Kajal (2’, 52’), Khushi (14’, 17’, 19’, 59’), Manjinder (35’), and Diya (48’) all scored to ensure victory for Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy, Sonepat.
The next match saw SAI Bal beat HIM Academy by a comprehensive 18-1 scoreline in Pool B. Himanshi Gwande (3’, 13’) started off the goal fest for SAI Bal, she was assisted by goals from Anandita Toppo (4’, 34’, 34’), Gedala Gayathri (6’), Dechamma PG (11’, 21’, 52’, 53’, 55’), Suneeta Kumari (13’, 39’, 54’), Nilam Kachhap (16’), Shakshi Shukla (19’), and Mamita Oram (23’, 25’). The only goal for HIM Academy was scored by Anjni (28’).
The last match of the day from Pool B between Republican Sports Club and Sports Authority of Gujarat Hockey Academy ended as a 2-2 draw. The Sports Authority of Gujarat Hockey Academy took a two-goal lead courtesy of goals from Captain Roshniben Gavit (12’) and Nandaniben Parmar (22’). Meanwhile, second-half goals from Republican Sports Club’s Kashish Shaikh (36’) and Tanu Shorensangbam (55’) meant the points were shared at the end of the game.
