Scarlett Spavin (2), Elena Baggett, Ava Wadsworth and Evelyn Wilson scored the goals that keep Durham three points clear at the top. Second placed Beeston, the only team to have taken points off Durham, beat relegated Wakefield 6-1. Leicester City kept alive their hopes of avoiding the drop too with a 1-0 win at Olton & West Warwicks. They are level on 15 points with Pendle Forest, who lost 3-0 at Repton. Ben Rhydding, who went down 4-1 at Gloucester City are three points further ahead. Gloucester have only lost once since the mid-season break to move clear of the relegation places.

england news week 14 league review 25 67d14d610c340 - England: News - Week 14 League review 25 - Having looked like they’d brought an end to the Mens Division One South title race by beating challengers Indian Gymkhana a fortnight ago, Old Loughtonians did the same to leaders Reading to open things up again. It was an emphatic 5-2 win for Loughts who lead 5-0 before late consolation goals in the final quarter. Indian Gymkhana took advantage with a win over Bristol University to move within four points of Reading  who they play this weekend. However they were made to work hard for the win by struggling Bristol who came back from 4-1 down, with Ajaz Ahmad scoring a hat-trick, to 4-3 and a nervy last ten minutes for Gym.  Bristol slip to bottom place as Canterbury moved above them and Team Bath Buccaneers, who lost 3-0 to Exeter University, off the back of a fine 4-2 win at Havant.

england premier division review 8th march 2025 67d0341edd7c2 - England: Premier Division Review - 8th March 2025 - At the top of the Mens Top 6 Old Georgians’ 100% record was maintained with a 3-1 defeat of their nearest rivals Holcombe. Alex Pendle gave Holcombe an early lead before goals from Chris Proctor and Alan Forsyth made it 2-1 at the break. Sam Ward sealed the win with a minute to go and keep up OGs record of scoring three or more in every game to date. The result ended Holcombe’s six match winning streak. They drop to third below Surbiton who beat Oxted 5-3 at Sugden Road.  Surbiton conceded three for the third successive game although they never trailed on Saturday.  The Wimbledon – Hampstead & Westminster game saw the lead change hands before Wimbledon ran out 4-3 winners. Jonathan Lankfer gave Wimbledon an early lead but a strong period after the break saw Hampstead 3-1 up with 15 minutes to go. Wimbledon then also responded in triplicate inside seven minutes securing the win with an Ed Horler stroke in the 63rd minute.

We invited her to share her love of hockey and the positive changes that have been made at the club and the sport.

england week 15 review of the england hockey league 67d03428c2ba0 - England: Week 15 Review of the England Hockey League - Men's Division One North leaders Loughborough Students won again but were made to work hard by hosts Harborne. Tom Thorne scored twice for Harborne but these sandwiched three Loughborough goals, from Joe Cotton (2) and Jack Webb. A 3-2 win means Loughborough are four points clear of Brooklands MU  who came home with a 5-2 win from the short trip to Deeside Ramblers. Birmingham University also won a local derby, 4-3 against Olton & West Warwicks with captain Alfie Weaver netting a 68th minute corner to secure the points. Lindum stay ninth after a 3-0 loss at Nottingham University and Stourport are a point behind them. Stourport drew 3-3 with Durham University, Si Claris scored all three including a last gasp pc conversion, however they still trail Durham in eighth by seven points.
