Gwalior, 13th October 2023: The second day of the 1st Hockey India Junior and Sub Junior Women Academy Championship 2023 – (Zone A), saw Meghbaran Singh Hockey Academy win while Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy and Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy played out a draw in their respective matches in the Sub Junior Women’s category. HIM Academy and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy emerged victorious in their respective games in the Junior Women’s category.
In the first match of the day in the Sub Junior category, Meghbaran Singh Hockey Academy beat Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) 7-0. Rav Tripti Kumari (17’, 55’), Sagar Manshi (40’, 41’), Monika (15’), Rajbhar Ragini (48’) and Captain Singh Khushi (58’) scored the goals for Meghbaran Singh Hockey Academy.
The second match of the Sub Junior category between Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy and Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy ended in a draw with the score reading 2-2. Tahur Naaz (12’) and Jasiya Ansari (42’) scored the goals for Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy while Sunaina (28’) and Priya (48’) scored the goals for Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy.
The third match of the day, which was the first match in the Junior category, saw HIM Academy beat Salute Hockey Academy 7-1. Varsha (15’, 50’), Devi Reemu (34’, 55’), Gurpreet Kaur (18’), Sonali (23’) and Khushi Verma (48’) scored for HIM Academy while Annu (21’) scored the lone goal for Salute Hockey Academy.
In the final match of the day, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy beat Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) 11-0. Gurmail Kaur (3’, 6’, 6’, 37’), Swati (36’, 49’, 51’), Huda Khan (19’), Captain Kumre Soniya (28’), Patel Sneha (29’) and Bisen Tanu (54’) scored the goals for Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy.
