NETHERLANDS: THE WEEKEND: MUSCLE PAIN, CARD IS CAKE AND ‘FACKING LONG’ SHOWER

From Maastricht to Hattem and Ares to Prinsenbeek, there was plenty of hockey last weekend. We look at the socials from the Fourth to the Transition Class. A selection of the Instagram gems of the standard teams.

Your team in this section next week? Send us a  DM .

We start our review of the weekend with the ladies of Prinsenbeek. The lost match in the Silver Cup on Friday meant that many players started the match against Tempo’34 with muscle pain. The pain quickly faded into the background after Prinsenbeek scored after just thirty seconds. Ultimately, there was a 9-1 victory on the scoreboard in Rotterdam.

With his fifth hat trick of the season, Casper (last name unknown) played an important role in the 5-1 victory of the DVS men over Eersel. After two goal-rich draws on their own field, the team was ready for a home victory again. DVS did not start the game well. The quick deficit was turned into a lead, after which ‘Casper felt it necessary to score his fifth hat trick of the season.’

In the Third Division, the gentlemen of Zwaluwen recorded a 3-1 victory over Teteringen. Three points, but the conclusion was that there is still plenty to do. ‘It was good. For one quarter’, we read on Instagram. In any case, a lesson was learned: avoiding roadworks. Fortunately, Jupiler was served in the clubhouse.

After last week, we were again curious about the memorable moments and the shower test of the ladies of Horst. This time there was no fragrant surprise, but Irma did find an umbrella. And the shower? Yes, that was liked by Eef Craenen. She ‘takes a facking long shower’, we read on Horst’s Instagram account.

With a good training week, the Drunen ladies have recovered from last week’s defeat against Basko (3-2). The second division defeated Geldrop 4-0 on Sunday. After the third half, the Drunen players cleaned the locker room. Judging by the smileys, it was not a nice job. But that’s not all. Babs has to get to work. She received a card against Geldrop and at Drunen a card means treating her to cake.

Dordrecht is in the wwwwwwinning mood . The team recorded its sixth victory in a row with the 4-7 victory over Drunen. Due to the loss of points by competitor Maarssen, Dordrecht is now the only leader in the Second Division B. The players can enjoy the leading position for an extra week due to the autumn break. This is followed by the home match against Rapid, number eight in the rankings.

After two defeats in a row, the Apeliotes ladies took full advantage again. ‘With a lot of support from our dear friends and family’, Uden was defeated 2-1. Afterwards, the Apeliotes players enjoyed the homemade treats. It remains a guess as to what exactly there was to taste and enjoy.

Good training pays off. The gentlemen from Derby proved that. The training had prepared the first division team well, as we read on Instagram, for the match against Ombloed, which was defeated 5-2 with no words but actions after a wonderful match. On behalf of Derby: happy autumn holidays!

With many pushes and pulls, the exciting match in the Overgangsklasse between Ede and HBS ended in 0-0. The ladies of Ede thanked their support along the line and are already looking forward to October 26. Then national champion Amsterdam will visit for the cup.

The gentlemen of IJsseloever were short and sweet about the 3-2 win over Phoenix: three points. After the second victory of the season, the team is in eighth place in the Overgangsklasse B with seven points.
