VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Another three days in Virginia Beach provided another stellar portion of the 2025 Junior Nexus Championship (NXC), presented by Osaka Hockey. The U-18 Junior NXC featured high-level competition by athletes from all across the country, with team Vancouver taking home the gold.

The U-18 Junior NXC took place from July 16 to 18, and will be followed by the U-21 Junior NXC and Senior NXC from July 18 to 20.

The U-18 Junior NXC kicked off with a morning of practices, followed by pool play matches, and finished off the first day with a goalkeeper session. After a second day full of games, the third and final day of the U-18 Junior NXC featured crossovers and medal matches. The young athletes from around the country showed off their skills in front of selectors, coaches and fans as they competed for evaluation to further opportunities. Congratulations to all the athletes for their hard work and dedication the last few days.

The semifinals on day three featured St. Louis against Vancouver and Paris against Milan. Both games were extremely tight one-goal games, ending in favor of Vancouver and Milan, respectively. The championship was another even match-up, as Vancouver took the title with a 3-2 win.

USA Field Hockey would like to thank all the athletes, coaches, umpires, umpire managers, Nexus staff and volunteers who continue to make the U-18 Girls NXC a success. Congratulations to this year’s winners!
