All kinds of things happened in the second round of play at the national boys’ competition as well. Bloemendaal O16 was the only team to reach double digits. The team, coached by Heren 1 player Gijs ter Braak, won 11-1 against Roomburg. In the Under-18 it was enjoyable for the neutral spectator at Leiden-Groningen, where it became 5-4.

Boys O16
It was the day of the Bloemendaal O16 boys. The talents of the North-Holland top club had no mercy with Roomburg, which was beaten 11-1 at ‘t Kopje. Five goals fell in the second quarter, in which Bloemendaal lifted the score from 1-0 to 6-0. Also notable: the 9-2 wins by both SCHC (at home against Cartouche) and Gooische (away at Groningen). Wijchen – Klein Zwitserland was cancelled.

Boys O18
To be present is to experience. Groningen Under 18 indicated it on their Insta channel before the match against Leiden. Their prediction came true; it became a memorable match against Leiden on Saturday. In a game that went every which way, the result was 5-4 after seventy steamy minutes. Unfortunately for the visitors, it was in favor of the home team. There were also nine goals at Tilburg-Naarden, although there the goals were distributed less evenly. The Brabanders were by far the better team: 8-1.
