The battle for the top scorer title in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men is alive and well. Pinoké striker Joep Troost is for now the main challenger to Boris Burkhardt and Struan Walker. In the women’s side, Yibbi Jansen and Frédérique Matla joined the chasers of Jip Dicke.
Tulp Hoofdklasse Women
Exactly halfway through the league in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women, only Jip Dicke has double figures behind her name. The SCHC striker still leads the top scorer’s list with ten goals, although she did not score in her last three games. Behind Dicke, four players now stand at eight goals, after Frédérique Matla (Den Bosch) and Yibbi Jansen (SCHC) each scored once last weekend.
Seven years ago – in season 2017-2018 – it last happened that only one player had already passed the 10-goal mark after the first 11 match rounds. Ginella Zerbo then led the list on behalf of SCHC with 14 goals, Valerie Magis (Oranje-Rood) and Delfina Merino (SCHC) followed at a distance with eight goals each.

Tulp Hoofdklasse Men
After the final match round of the first half of the season, Boris Burkhardt (Amsterdam) and Struan Walker (Oranje-Rood) go into the winter break together as the top scorers of the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men. The counter stands at 16 goals for both attackers. Behind them, meanwhile, six players have already scored 10 times or more. Pinoké attacker Joep Troost leads that company with fourteen goals: like his teammate Miles Bukkens, he scored twice last Sunday against Rotterdam (4-5 win).
First for Pinoké
Pinoké is the only club with two players in the top eight of the top scorers list. Apart from Troost, fellow attacker Miles Bukkens has now also reached the ten-goal mark. This makes the Stinging Noses the first team this season with two players in double figures. The duo were responsible for 28 of Pinoké’s 43 goals, which amounts to two-thirds of the complete production.
