VALENCIA, Spain – It will be a busy start to the new year for the U.S. Men’s National Team, as they will be in full preparation mode for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifier at the beginning of March. The Wolves will travel to Valencia, Spain from January 15 to 25, 2026 for a training camp and unsanctioned 4 Nations Tournament.
“This tour represents a rare opportunity for the program to have a true development and preparation phase ahead of a World Cup Qualifier,” said Allan Law, USMNT Head Coach. “It is also the first time the group has come back together since winning silver at the Pan American Cup, which makes it an important moment in our progression. Competing against quality oppositions such as Spain, Ireland and Japan provides exactly the level of challenge we need as we continue to build the squad, refine our tactical identity and assess players ahead of selection for Egypt.”
After a five-day training block, the No. 25 USMNT will take on No. 11 Ireland on Wednesday, January 21, No. 18 Japan on Thursday, January 22, No. 5 Spain on Saturday, January 24, and then will have a final crossover game on Sunday, January 25. Although unsanctioned by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), this event is key and will serve as the final evaluation opportunity where the USMNT Staff will select the squad to compete at the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifier.
