Oranje-Rood are back in the EHL for the first time since 2019 as their narrow 1-0 win over Hurley guaranteed them top spot in the Dutch Hoofdklasse league table.

It was a struggle, though, without club top scorer Struan Walker and goalkeeper Tomas Santiago. The only goal was scored by Borja Lacalle, who tapped the ball into the Hurley goal between his legs.

The victory secured Oranje-Rood first place in the regular league. As a result, the Eindhoven side will play in the EHL next season.

It was not only the sixth win in a row for the still unbeaten Oranje-Rood, but also the sixteenth of the season. The team thus equalled the club record from the 2023-2024 season.

Rotterdam and Pinoké are assured of a place in the playoffs along with the Eindhoven club while AH&BC Amsterdam are back up to fourth after their win over Rotterdam.

They made the jump after Den Bosch lost to SV Kampong 6-5. The Brabant club must now win their final game against HDM and hope Amsterdam slip up against Schaerweijde.
