Gantoise’s women confirmed their place at the top of the women’s Carlsberg 0.0 league with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Braxgata, putting them out of reach in first place.
Ambre Ballenghien put them ahead with just eight minutes gone and they were further clear via Stephanie Vanden Borre from a corner.
Louise Van Hecke’s goal completed the victory which, in tandem with KHC Dragons’ loss to Racing Club de Bruxelles, put them five points clear at the top with one game to go.
Dragons are confirmed in the playoffs along with Waterloo Ducks while the fourth place is between Antwerp and Brax. The former have the advantage on goal difference ahead of their game with Wellington while Braxgata host Leuven.
