The draw for the ABN AMRO Euro Hockey League Men’s ROUND1 produced a series of incredibly competitive groups for the event which will take place at HC Oranje-Rood from October 9th to 11th.
The Eindhoven hosts will take their place in Pool C where they will be joined by England’s Wimbledon – in a repeat of a 2017 FINAL4 battle – and Spanish giants Real Club de Polo de Barcelona.
Belgian newcomers Royal Orée will face a big baptism when they meet four-time finalists Rot-Weiss Köln in Pool B which also feature’s Czech side SK Slavia Prague.
In Pool A, opportunity knocks for SV Arminen (Austria), Lille MHC (France) and Edinburgh University (Scotland) who will all battle for a place at Easter’s FINAL12.
Pool D provides a similar opening with Ireland’s Lisnagarvey, French side CAM92 and Swiss outfit Rotweiss Wettingen (Switzerland) pitted against each other.
The winner of each of the four groups will progress to the FINAL12 where they will join eight further clubs who have already qualified for the advanced stages of the competition.
