Sunday, November 8: The double-weekend continued to deliver jaw-dropping results, as league leaders dropped points, and survival hopefuls kept their dreams of remaining in the topflight alive.

In the Women’s EYHL, UCD almost inflicted Railway Union with a first defeat of the season in their bonus point draw with the current league leaders. The hosts went two goals to the good forcing Railway Union to produce a second-half comeback. Ards closed the gap on the league leaders with a win over Queen’s University to climb back to second in the standings. A scoreless draw between Pembroke Wanderers and Loreto saw home side Pembroke secure a bonus point draw to remain in the hunt. Portadown and Pegasus also played out a scoreless draw at Edenvilla with the home side grabbing the bonus point to remain in touching distance of the top four. And Old Alex secured a strong 2-0 victory over Monkstown to exit the relegation zone and jump to seventh in the standings.

In the Men’s EYHL, Avoca ran riot at home to extend their unbeaten run to eight games as they overcame Corinthian in Newpark and climbed to third in the standings. Pembroke Wanderers secured a point against Three Rock Rovers to remain top of the table and continue their unbeaten run, but Three Rock Rovers secured the bonus point in the shootout having fought back to level terms from two goals behind. Lisnagarvey returned to winning ways at Comber Road, fending off a determined Cork Harlequins side. Banbridge made it two wins from two to remain just three points behind the league leaders as they beat Monkstown away from home. And Portrane secured a second win of the season, beating YMCA 3-2 in Donabate to climb out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.
