ONE Active Hockey One has confirmed the match schedule for the 2026 Finals Series on the Gold Coast, with both Grand Finals to be broadcast nationally on 7mate with the rest of the matches across the Finals Series weekend available on 7plus.

To maximise the free-to-air broadcast opportunity and ensure both Grand Finals are shown in full, the 2026 Finals Day schedule on Sunday 6 December will see the Grand Finals played first, followed by the third-place matches.

The semi-final matches will be played on Saturday 5 December, starting at 10am local time.

While the match order on Sunday 6 December differs from the traditional Finals Day structure, ONE Active Hockey One has prioritised the ability to showcase both Grand Finals in full on free-to-air television, while maintaining strong event delivery for all four matches.

The revised Sunday schedule has been designed to protect the Grand Final broadcast window, allow appropriate time for trophy and medal presentations, and provide contingency for match or weather-related delays.

Hockey One Executive Manager, Sash Herceg, said the Sunday schedule reflects the significance of securing national free-to-air coverage for the league’s biggest matches of the season.

“Having both Grand Finals broadcast on 7mate is a major opportunity for ONE Active Hockey One, our clubs, athletes, partners and fans. The revised schedule ensures both Grand Finals, including the key medal and trophy presentation moments, can be shown in full to a national free-to-air audience.”, said Herceg.

The decision follows detailed planning across broadcast, competition, venue and event operations.

“Finals Day is about celebrating the best of ONE Active Hockey One. This schedule allows us to give the Grand Finals the national platform they deserve, while still delivering a full medal-match program for fans at the venue and those watching around Australia,” added Herceg.
