NCAA: Men’s Roster Named for Inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup Oman 2024

MUSCAT, Oman – Following the tryout that took place in late November at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C., U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach Harry Singh has named the 10-athlete roster that will compete at the inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup Oman 2024. The event is slated for later this month, with the men competing from January 28 to 31 in Muscat, Oman.

“USA’s Hockey5’s team champions the spirit of triumph of the Hockey5s Pan American Cup,” commented Singh. “As we lace up for the [Hockey5s] World Cup, our legacy is etched in every goal scored and every victory claimed. We are looking forward for an exciting result. It’s the first Hockey5s World Cup, it’s a matter of pride for players and officials to become a part of history.”

The roster returns three from the squad who won gold at the PAHF Hockey5s Pan American Cup back in June – Michael Barminski (Ventura, Calif.), Ajai Dhadwal (Agoura Hills, Calif.) and Henzor Motta (San Juan, Puerto Rico). The ten athletes selected will be making history as the first to compete at the new Hockey5s World Cup.
