The finalists of the Silver Cup have been announced. The final battle for the men is between Helmond and Rijswijk. With the ladies, Apeliotes and Maastricht play for the win in the second cup tournament. Both finals will be played on Saturday 27 May.
As the only remaining second division team, the men of FIT failed to stunt against Rijswijk on Friday evening, which plays in the First Division. Rijswijk reached the final of the Silver Cup by winning 8-1 in front of their home crowd. In the final, the team will play against Helmond, which was too strong for Alecto after taking shoot-outs. The game ended 1-1 after regular time.
The defending champion GHBS failed to reach the final for the second time in a row in the women’s race . A visit to Maastricht was lost 6-4. The Limburgers meet Apeliotes in the final, which settled with Westerpark (0-1) in Amsterdam.
Of the four teams that will compete for the Silver Cup, only Helmond has final experience. The Brabant team played the final in 2018, in which it lost to Naarden (4-2).
