With the indoor championship now put to bed the race is now on to rearrange fixtures in the outdoor Premiership. The process started at Titwood last night where Clydesdale Western clocked up a 3-1 win over Glasgow University in the women`s competition.
Clydesdale`s goals came from Heather O`Brien, Bronwyn Shields and Ali Howie with Lucy Smith replying for the Glasgow students.
The result propels Clydesdale up to third in the table, two points ahead of Edinburgh University and level with Wildcats, but they have now played a game more than both of them.
The result also means Glasgow remain third from bottom, but they are still two or three games behind the other sides.
The women`s Premiership was badly hit by flooded and frozen pitches in November and there are a number of games still outstanding.
This weekend coming will see the Glasgow students take on Inverleith on Saturday while on Sunday the Edinburgh side entertain Gordonians. The result of these encounters will affect the bottom positions in the table with Inverleith and Gordonians locked on a single point at the foot of the table with Glasgow University just above on three points.
