The opening opponent of the German team, Chile, is taking part in a World Cup for the first time. It is also the first encounter in a competitive game between the two teams. Nonetheless, the squad should not be underestimated as the team qualified for the World Cup as one of the top 3 teams in the 2022 Pan American Cup.
