The match schedule for Wales’ World Cup preparation tournament in Cadiz, The road to India 2023, has been released.

Playing six high-level games over the 12-day tournament, Wales will take on world leading teams including Belgium, Germany, and hosts Spain, who are ranked second, fourth, and eighth in the FIH World Rankings respectively.

Wales will play their first match against Belgium on Monday 12th December at 14:00 GMT, before playing Germany the next day.

Their final match on Wednesday 21st December sees them take on France, who they last beat 2-1 in the final of the 2021 World Cup Qualifiers in Cardiff where Wales qualified for their first World Cup.

Monday 12th – Wales v Belgium – 14:00 GMT

Tuesday 13th – Wales v Germany – 14:00 GMT

Friday 16th – Wales v Spain – 18:00 GMT

Sunday 18th – Wales v Korea – 10:00 GMT

Monday 19th – Wales v Japan – 14:00 GMT

Wednesday 21st – Wales v France – 10:00 GMT

The tournament is not an official FIH tournament so the games will not be capped. Scores and updates will be shared on the Hockey Wales website and social media channels.
