Germany: Bundesliga Review – the 3rd Bundesliga Weekend (September 16/17)

Things really got down to business again on the third Bundesliga weekend. There were two games on Friday and ten games on Saturday. You can find all the results here. – the Bundesliga review.

Friday September 16:
TSV Mannheim 0:3 Mannheimer HC
Düsseldorfer HC 2:0 Uhlenhorst Mülheim
Saturday September 17:
Club an der Alster 5:0 Bremer HC
UHC Hamburg 2:0 Harvestehuder THC
Munich SC 2:2 Berliner HC
Großflottbeker THGC 2 :3 Red-White Cologne

CLUB AN DER ALSTER – BREMER HC 5:0 (5:0)
Despite three very courageous appearances, the promoted team from Bremen is the only team with 0 points at the end of the table. Bremen also lost 5-0 last weekend.

UHC HAMBURG – HARVESTEHUDER THC 2:0 (0:0)
The women of Harvestehuder THC had a very strong start to the season. They are still at the top of the table in Season A with no loss of points, ahead of Master Düsseldorf. The women of UHC Hamburg welcomed the guests from Harvestehude for today’s derby. In the derby, the UHC prevailed 2-0.

MÜNCHNER SC – BERLINER HC 2:2 (1:2)
A young Munich team, which surprisingly reached the quarter-finals last year, is striving for more this year: they drew against the reigning champions from Düsseldorf last weekend be fought for. On the following day, they narrowly lost to Rot-Weiss Cologne. In the end it was 2:2 against the Berliners.

GROSSFLOTTBEKER THGC – ROT-WEISS KÖLN 2:3 (1:2)
Großflottbek was able to wrest a more than hard-fought 3:3 draw from Cologne last season – after being 1:3 behind at the break, they still scored two goals. In this year’s clash, the Hamburg women lost 2:3.

Saturday September 17th:
Munich SC 3:3 Uhlenhorst Mülheim 
Hamburger Polo Club 3:4 Harvestehuder THC 
Club an der Alster 3:2 UHC Hamburg 
Berliner HC 3:1 Crefelder HTC 
TSV Mannheim 6:1 Düsseldorfer HC 
Mannheimer HC 1:4 Rot- Weiss Cologne 

MÜNCHNER SC – UHLENHORST MÜLHEIM 3: 3 (1: 1)
In April 2018 there was the last duel between the Munich SC and Uhlenhorst Mülheim. With a tight 5:4, the Munich team were able to decide the game for themselves. In the end this season it was a 3:3 draw.

HAMBURG POLO CLUB – HARVESTEHUDER THC 3:4 (1:2)
A game that was exciting until the end ended with a 3:4 away win for Harvestehuder THC. The men of the Hamburger Polo Club will play Uhlenhorst Mülheim in an away game next weekend (September 24, 3:00 p.m.) and the Harvestehuder THC will play Mannheimer HC almost at the same time (September 24, 3:15 p.m.).

CLUB AN DER ALSTER – UHC HAMBURG 3:2 (0:1)
The last meeting between the two teams ended with a 1:0 for the Club an der Alster. After a 2:0 lead, the Alsterans turned the game around and won 3:2.

BERLINER HC – CREFELDER HTC 3:1 (0:0)
Berliner HC, with three points from the first three games, was looking to finally collect more points in the home game against the newly promoted team from Krefeld. The Berliners succeeded and beat the promoted team 3:1.

TSV MANNHEIM HOCKEY – DÜSSELDORFER HC 6:1 (2:0)
TSV Mannheim Hockey against Düsseldorfer HC. Both teams had successfully contested the play-down games in the previous season. The TSV from Mannheim defeated the Düsseldorf clearly with 6:1.

MANNHEIMER HC – ROT-WEISS KÖLN 1:4 (1:3)  Mannheimer HC received the guests from Cologne
for the Volvo ERB top game of the week . The Cologne team won 4:1.
