EHF: Casuals and Mladost make early impact in Porto – women’s day one round-up

Lisbon Casuals and HAHK Mladost took the early advantage in their respective pools of the six team women’s EuroHockey Club Challenge III in Porto with strong wins.

For Lisbon in Pool A, they won 3-0 against Gibraltar’s Europa FC with two goals in the first 12 minutes doing the major damage. Isabel Gregg Lopes da Silva got them off to a dream start and the prolific Argentine Yanina Rojas doubled up; Juliana Diaz made sure of the result in the fourth quarter.

Pool B saw HAHK Mladost prove too strong for Finland’s ABC-Team with a 13-0 victory. Lucija Čepo scored six times with Dora Lagančič adding a hat trick.

Friday sees SLF Mesaicos make their European debut when they face Europa in Pool A; in Pool B, host club Grupo Desportivo do Viso make their entry when they face HAHK Mladost.
