EHL: Gantoise win EHL U14 boys in dramatic style

Gantoise U14 boys their club’s amazing EHL week as they took gold in the most dramatic of style, winning their final against HDM in a shoot-out.

Normal time ended 1-1 after Cesaer Juste opened the scoring for the Belgians and Hidde Holst’s looping deflection went into the top of the goal for HDM.

The Belgian side then survived a spell with eight players with three in the sin-bin but they dug in to keep it level to the end.

And then three successful shoot-outs from Leon Vermeulen, Noah Rogge and Simon Rogge made the difference.

Earlier, Gantoise won their semi-final against Club de Campo 3-1 while HDM were too strong for Old Georgians in a 5-0 outcome.

Campo won the bronze medal with a 2-0 result against OGs while Harvestehuder THC won 3-2 against Post SV in the fifth/sixth place playoff.
