The Netherlands bid for four titles in a row continued as a blistering second half saw them race away from the challenge of England to advance to Saturday’s final.
After a scoreless first half, they scored seven times to transform the fixture and send out an imposing message.
Yibbi Jansen broke the deadlock early in the second half with a corner rocket that proved too fast for the goalkeeper.
Pien Dicke made it two when she capitalised on a loose English free-out, pinching the ball and then burst through tackles and then calmly lifted the ball over Sabbie Heesh.
Jansen added her second and the Dutch third and then Frédérique Matla had all the time to smash a shot into the top of the net for 4-0 before the end of the fourth quarter.
Marijn Veen added to the total with a simple finish as Felice Albers’ run and Joosje Burg’s pass put her through on goal. Jansen completed her second hat trick of the competition and Matla put them in seventh heaven from a Xan de Waard assist.
Player of the match Yibbi Jansen summed up the mood and how they changed the game in the second half: “We are really happy, we played very well and so happy to be in the finals. We kept our passing level very high and we are very fit so we had a lot of energy.”
