FAN: USA women’s indoor team take gold at Rohrmax Cup, men finish fourth

The USA Women’s National Indoor Field Hockey team had a rematch with Belgium in the final game of the Rohrmax Cup Sunday morning in Vienna, Austria.

Both the men’s and women’s team traveled to central Europe for the international tournament that ran from Jan. 2 to 5. The women’s team was using the friendly competition to prep for the 2025 Indoor World Cup, which will be held in Croatia in February.

The No. 10 men’s team finished fourth. The Wolves split two games on Saturday, one loss against Austria U-21 and one win against Poland. They played Sunday in the third/fourth match and narrowly fell 8-7 to Croatia.

The men will not participate in this year’s indoor World Cup.

On Saturday, the No. 9 ranked women secured their spot in the cup’s championship game after defeating Czechia 7-3 and Poland 8-5. The United Eagles continued their momentum to claim the gold on Sunday, beating the Red Panthers 7-4
