India: Day 4 Results: 2nd Khelo India Sub Junior Women’s Hockey League – Phase 1

~Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh defeated Khalsa Hockey Academy Amritsar 6-0~ 

~Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre defeated Raja Karan Hockey Academy 17-0~

~Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy defeated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy 9-0~ 

~Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy beat Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy Bhagta 4-2~

 

New Delhi, 24th December 2023: Day 4 of the 2nd Khelo India Sub Junior Women’s Hockey League – Phase 1 witnessed Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre, Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy, and Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy win their respective matches.  

Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh wins comfortably:    

In the first match of the day, Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh defeated Khalsa Hockey Academy Amritsar 6-0. Captain Rukhaman Khusro (5′, 28′) scored a brace while Madhu Sidar (2′), Yashoda Meravi (15′), Smita Kujur (19′) and Damini Khusro (30′) scored one field goal each for Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre Chhattisgarh. 

Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre registers convincing win:   

In the second match of the day, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre overpowered Raja Karan Hockey Academy 17-0. Sweety Kujur (9′, 13′, 14′, 59′), Neharika Toppo (24′, 27′, 45′, 53′) and Doli Bhoi (32′, 40′, 45′, 54′) scored four goals each, Payal Sonkar (2′, 47′) and Pragya Patel (4′, 60′) netted a brace each, and Nirmala Senbar (15’) contributed one goal for Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre. 

Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy defeats Jai Bharat Hockey Academy: 

The third game of the day witnessed Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy beat Jai Bharat Hockey Academy 9-0. Anushka (3’) opened the scoring for Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy by converting a penalty stroke following which Diksha (14’, 42’) scored a brace, while Aarti (24’, 28’, 43’) netted a hat-trick. Also, Mahi (30’) and Ritika (39’, 49’) found the back of the net to contribute to their team’s win. 

Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy fights back to beat Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy Bhagta 

The fourth and last game of the day turned out to be a thrilling affair as Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy came from behind to defeat Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy Bhagta 4-2. After Rashi (15’) and Damini (26’) netted a goal each to give a lead to Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy Bhagta, Durga (42’, 43’) scored two goals in a minute to level the score for Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy. Also, Nisha (50’) and Jahnvi Bats (57’) scored a goal each in the closing minutes of the match to help Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy win the game.
