Las Leonas closed their brief tour of Spain with two wins over the local

The Argentine women’s hockey team closed its tour of Spain with two wins, where it faced the local team as part of the preparation tour for this year’s commitments, among which the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile stand out.

Las Leonas won the matches played in Valencia 3-1 and 2-1, with Julieta Jankunas from Cordoba as the only representative of our province among the 22 summoned by Fernando Ferrara.

The matches of Las Leonas in Spain

In the first friendly, Las Leonas won with goals from María José Granatto, Agustina Albertario and Rocío Sánchez Moccia. Blanca Pérez scored the transitional tie for the Spanish.

It was difficult for Argentina to unlock the game and in the final three minutes, through Albertario and Sánchez Moccia, they achieved the distance on the scoreboard that allowed them to start the tour with a victory.

María José Granatto and Victoria Manuele scored for the Albicelestes in the second match, which Maria López temporarily tied for the locals.

In the second game, Las Leonas were more intense from the start and bothered the “redsticks” with high pressure.

Those led by Ferrara thus closed in the best way the tour that aimed to add high-level matches in the middle of the two Pro League windows (after Australia and ahead of the closing in Europe in June).
