National Team partnership with The Cove

Local partner will support national teams with recovery and injury prevention

Field Hockey Canada is excited to announce a partnership with West Vancouver recovery and injury prevention company, The Cove.

The Cove offers a variety of health services to help athletes recover and perform to their optimal potential. They specialize in cold and hot tub immersion, massage therapy and compression treatment. The Cove will support Field Hockey Canada by offering treatment to the Senior National Teams. The Cove’s team of health professionals has the knowledge, experience, and passion to provide the hockey community with sound advice and guidance.

Cove Sports Recovery is a facility that is dedicated to supporting athletes of all levels in optimizing their performance, preventing injuries, and promoting overall health and well-being. Founder, Nicholas Fadden, said he’s excited to work with the national team athletes and support them in recovery.

“Partnering with Field Hockey Canada is an exciting opportunity for us. It means that we can provide their athletes with the tools and resources they need to excel in their sport. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with athletes and to learn from them as well,” Fadden said. “This partnership will allow us to expand our reach and help more athletes achieve their goals along with watching Canada becoming the team to watch out for.”

Both the Women’s and Men’s National Teams train partially at Rutledge Field in West Vancouver. The Cove is a short walk from the fields there, which makes the partnership even more valuable. The close proximity will allow Field Hockey Canada athletes to maximize the benefit of training and immediate sports recovery. For Fadden, being able to support national team athletes is a special feeling.

“Partnering with national team athletes is an incredible honour for us. We understand the dedication and commitment it takes to reach the elite level, and we are here to support their recovery and performance goals. By providing our expertise and facilities to national team athletes, we hope to help them recover faster, perform better, and stay healthy throughout their careers” Fadden said. “The value of our partnership with national team athletes is immeasurable, and we are excited to work with them toward their goals.”

CEO Susan Ahrens said she’s thrilled with the new partnership and is thankful to The Cove for supporting the teams.

“This partnership is ideal for the athletes and the hockey community. We welcome and embrace every opportunity to add value to our national team programs. We know our athletes will appreciate access to elite recovery methods and we are excited to see the benefits on and off the field,” she said. “Nick and the team at The Cove have been incredible to work alongside and I know this partnership will have a lasting impact on the hockey community.”

The Cove is located in Ambleside in West Vancouver, near to Rutledge Field. The team at The Cove is excited to encourage the field hockey community to check out their recovery options and come try out the facilities.
