NCAA: 2023 NCAA Field Hockey Championship Umpires Appointed

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After last weekend’s NCAA Field Hockey Tournament play, USA Field Hockey and the NCAA are pleased to share the umpires selected to officiate at the 2023 NCAA Division I, II and III Semifinals and Finals coming up this weekend. These individuals were selected on their performance during the NCAA First, Second and Thirds Rounds.

“Congratulations to all of the USA Field Hockey Umpire Mmembers on their performances across the college season,” said Sean Rapaport, USA Field Hockey’s Director of Umpiring. “It has been particularly pleasing to watch the positive development of so many umpires as the season has progressed. Best of luck to the excellent teams of umpires appointed to the NCAA Field Hockey Championships weekend.”

Selected for the 2023 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship are Lauren Bruce (St. Louis, Mo.), Mallory Federoff (Coraopolis, Pa.), Katelyn Makovec (Norfolk, Va.), Ayanna McClean (Trinidad & Tobago) and Allie Mikelson (Coopersburg, Pa.). Both Makovec and McClean officiated at the 2022 NCAA Division I edition.

Picked to officiate at the 2023 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship are Andrew Estrada (Newtown, Pa.), Maddie Keppel (Somerville, Mass.), Christopher Pothier (Shrewsbury, Mass.), Judy Strong (Hatfield, Mass.) and Shannon Taylor (Gilford, N.H.). Both Estrada and Pothier were part of the 2022 NCAA Division I staff, and Strong was an official at the 2022 NCAA Division III.

Named to officiate at the 2023 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship are Morgan Ames (Yorktown, Va.), Jenna Cutilli (Maple Glen, Pa.), Ameliet Rischen (Crofton, Md.), Suzi Sutton (Lancaster, Pa.) and Brian Tyson (Chesapeake, Va.).

The 2023 NCAA Division I Semifinals and Final are taking place at the University of North Carolina’s Karen Shelton Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Friday, November 17 and Sunday, November 19. The first Semifinal between North Carolina and Virginia is at 12:00 p.m. ET, with the second between Duke and Northwestern at 3:00 p.m. ET. Both Semifinal games will be available on ESPN+. The NCAA Final will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET and will air on ESPNU.

The 2023 NCAA Division II Semifinals and Final are taking place at Saint Anselm College’s Grappone Stadium in Manchester, N.H. The first Semifinal between East Stroudsburg and Assumption is at 2:00 p.m. ET, with the second between Shippensburg and Kutztown at 5:00 p.m. ET. Both Semifinals and Final can be live streamed on NCAA.com.

The 2022 NCAA Division III Semifinals and Final are taking place at Christopher Newport University’s Jennings Family Stadium in Newport News, Va. on Friday, November 17 and Sunday, November 19. The first Semifinal between Kean and Johns Hopkins will be played at 12:00 p.m. ET, with second between Babson and Middlebury at 3:00 p.m. ET. Both Semifinals and Final can be live streamed on NCAA.com.
