This was the first time that this level accreditation was available to Papua New Guinea coaches. Coaches attended from three different Associations, Port Moresby, Lae, and Kokopo. Three Hook in4 Health staff members, Hussein Lowah, Pomat Kanamon, Gabriella Kisipai, along with two Hin4H volunteers Andrew Raoma and Georgina Bon, took part as part of their professional development.
The workshop with 14 participants, was facilitated by FIH Trainer Gill Gemming, FIH Coach Educator David McNeil, and Australian/PNG Mentor Coach Greg Steele. The Under 21 Squad provided players for both Saturday and Sunday’s practical sessions so that the participating coaches were able to be fully engaged coaching small groups, as part of their assessment.
This accreditation level is important for the PNG NOC ratifying national coaches to attend events such as the Pacific Games and any other qualifying events.
