Oceania: Team Up Launches Hook in4 Health in the Solomon Islands

The official launch was at Gifu School, in the village of Barana Honiara. The children of Gifu Primary school took part in activities that were put on by hockey, basketball and football.

SIHF President Winki Yee, a partner in  Hook in4 Health with OHF presented the Australian High Commissioner with a hockey shirt . 10 Solomon Island national players, who are representing their country in the Pacific Games,  from 28 Nov to 1st Dec, ran the hockey sessions where the children did both skills and finished their hockey introduction by playing  a small game.

Each player received a hockey pen  as a momento of the launch. The national players really enjoyed working with the children and encouraging them to come and watch the hockey at the Games.
