The Scotland Emerging squads have been announced for the 8-Nations tournament in Spain on 5-13 July.
The action gets underway on Friday 7 July when Scotland Emerging Girls’ take on Germany, and the Scotland Emerging Boys’ play Spain. The following day the Scotland Emerging Girls are in action against Ireland, before match three sees the side play Spain. For the boys’ they play England in their second match before taking on The Netherlands.
The latter stages of the tournament will be played on Tuesday 11 July, and Wednesday 12 July.
The tournament is a tremendous development opportunity for the young Scots as they come up against some of the best hockey nations in Europe.
Scotland Emerging Girls’ Head Coach Emma Pate said, “As always, these selections have been very difficult to make. Now they have been made, we’re really excited about the statement this squad could make against some of the best youth teams in Europe.
“We’ve been building towards the tournament for a few months now, and the girls have been brilliant with how well they have engaged with the programme. There is a really good energy in the squad, and we are very much looking forward to getting out there and competing.”
