The draw for the semi-finals of the Silver Cup Men was made on Monday at the KNHB association office in Utrecht. On Friday, May 12, the clubs will compete for a place in the final battle of the second cup tournament. The matches start at 8.30 pm.
The semi-finalists have already received their first prize. In the new season they can participate in the Gold Cup, the cup for teams up to and including the Overgangsklasse.
For a place in the final of the Silver Cup, the Amsterdam FIT will visit Rijswijk next Friday. The only remaining second division team eliminated fellow second division team Mezen 5-2 in the quarterfinals. Opponent Rijswijk had it a lot more difficult. USHC was defeated 1-0.
Helmond will play against Alecto in the other semi-final. The losing finalist of 2018 reached the last four by beating cupfighter Oss 3-1. Alecto settled last Friday in-house with second division Dordrecht: 3-2.
