Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid completed the perfect season as they were crowned Spanish women’s Iberdrola League after defeating Atlètic Terrassa 4-1 in the final.

Both the men’s and women’s teams have thus been crowned league champions, and Pablo Usoz’s team has completed a dream season, having finished first in the regular season and won the Iberdrola Queen’s Cup.

With their men also winning the Iati league title, it was the first time since 2021 that a single club had managed to win both the Spanish men’s and women’s titles in the same year.

The Madrid team’s victory was built in the second quarter. Candela Peña recovered a ball in defence, ran down the right flank, and spotted Bea Pérez, who reached the byline and assisted Begoña García, who beat Clara Pérez in the 18th minute.

In the 24th minute, misfortune struck the Can Sales team when a shot by Flor Amundson ended up making it 2-0 after deflecting off a defender’s stick.

And, before the end of the first half, María López scored the third goal from a penalty corner for 3-0 at the break

Pablo Usoz’s team remained unfazed by the scoreline and continued to display a highly structured game, looking to extend their lead.

López made it 4-0 in Q3 and effectively sealed the match. In the final quarter, Sílvia Bonastre’s team did finally get on the scoreboard with Mar Solà pulling one back but it could not stop Atlètic’s third consecutive final defeat as Campo were left to celebrate.
