On Saturday night in the Tulip Men’s Premier League, Joep Troost was the absolute standout. He scored all five goals for Pinoké in the 5-2 victory over Klein Zwitserland. Earlier in the day, the topper between Bloemendaal and Kampong had no winner. The spectacular match at ‘t Kopje ended in an exciting 4-4.
Bloemendaal – Kampong 4-4
The delightful topper at ‘t Kopje between Bloemendaal and Kampong ended in a spectacular 4-4. The Utrechters twice took a two goal lead, but saw the home team come back each time. A yellow card for Jip Janssen proved to be a turning point, after which Bloemendaal equalized. Kampong started strong and quickly made it 0-2. Jip Janssen opened the score from a penalty corner, then Duco Telgenkamp doubled the lead. It was Telgenkamp’s first time scoring for Kampong against Bloemendaal. Australian striker Nathan Ephraums brought Bloemendaal back into the game with two goals in a row, but Telgenkamp put Kampong back in the lead before halftime: 2-3. After the break Janssen increased the margin back to two (2-4) via a penalty corner. At that moment Kampong seemed to be on their way to victory, but the yellow card for Janssen gave Bloemendaal new energy. Jasper Brinkman reduced the deficit from a penalty corner and shortly thereafter Marc Miralles took advantage of a penalty ball to make the final score 4-4. The draw marked Bloemendaal’s third points loss in the last four league games.

Pinoké – Klein Zwitserland 5-2
It was without a doubt the night of Joep Troost. He accounted for Pinoké’s entire goal production in the 5-2 victory over Klein Zwitserland. He scored his goals in three different ways: two field goals, two penalty corners and a penalty ball. It was the first time Troost scored five goals in a major league game. The last two players to score five times in one game in the Tulip big league also did so on behalf of Pinoké: Alexander Hendrickx (five against Voordaan (3-7) and Bukkens (five against Hurley (0-7). Pinoké, who started without injured top scorer Miles Bukkens, started strongly and took the lead through a penalty ball by Troost. Klein Zwitserland fought back. Aki Käppeler equalized from a penalty corner and Lucas Toscani even put The Hague team ahead from the penalty spot. But then the Joep Troost show really started. First he scored the equalizer from a penalty corner, then he put Pinoké back in the lead with a field goal, before scoring again from a penalty corner. In the closing stages Troost also made it 5-2. For Pinoké, the victory marked the third win in a row, while Klein Zwitserland suffered its third defeat in a row.
