Oceania: Colourful Scenes For the PNG Independence Day Tournament

The Sir John Guise Hockey Stadium was decorated with flags and banners while all the players and spectators wore colourful tops, dresses and headgear to recognise Independence celebrations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All ages were involved with the Hook in4 Health team organising activities each morning for the many children who attended. 

 

 

 

 

The National Squads seen in these two photos, who have continued to train since returning from the Gold Coast Tournament in July, played matches during the long weekend. This was the last opportunity for athletes to push their case for final selection as the selection panel met on the Monday morning to confirm their Pacific Games teams.
