GERMANY: ONE PROMOTION AND THREE RELEGATIONS ARE STILL BEING SOUGHT

In the northern group, the championship question has been decided for quite a while (in favor of the Gladbacher HTC), so there is a real final for first place in the south. However, not in a direct clash between the two teams involved, but as a long-distance duel. SC Frankfurt 1880 goes into the last game with a small lead of one point over pursuer Zehlendorfer Wespen. With a win at HG Nuremberg, the Hessians can make their return to the upper house clear after a year. Even with a draw, the 80s would have to fear being overtaken by the wasps. Zehlendorf welcomes TC Blau-Weiss in the Berlin derby. A win really only helps the wasps to jump into league one if they get support from Nuremberg.

The HGN will work hard out of self-interest. For the Franconians, who are on the penultimate place in the table, it is still about staying up, although the chances are very small for the HGN in view of the strong opponent SC80 and three points and five goals behind TuS Lichterfelde. If TuSLi gets even one point in their home game against relegated Charlottenburg, then even a Nuremberg miracle would no longer be worth anything. In the games Nürnberger HTC against Stuttgarter Kickers and TG Frankenthal against Wiesbadener THC, it’s all about a good end to the season.

In the north only the descent is of interest. The fact that the bottom of the table Braunschweiger THC can still save itself is only possible in theory. The Lower Saxony not only have to clearly win their away game at Klipper Hamburg, but at the same time hope that Club Raffelberg and Marienburger SC both lose their last games high. Everything together will hardly happen.

So the question remains who, in addition to the alleged relegated Braunschweig, has to leave the league second. An exciting long-distance duel is going on here between the teams from Raffelberg and Marienburg who have the same number of points. The CR team (plays at DSD Düsseldorf) has a mini lead of two goals over the MSC (plays at home against Großflottbek).

Champion Gladbach says goodbye to the second division with the home game against Neuss, and in the Cologne derby between black and white and blue and white it only feels like the city championship, the black and white with almost twice as many points as the neighbor actually long ago has decided.
