The Brisbane Blaze host the Canberra Chill this Friday night in the first home round of the season!
The action kicks off with the Blaze men’s team taking on the Chill in what promises to be a fiercely contested match. With the home crowd behind them, the Blaze men are eager to set the tone for the season and secure an early victory.
The Women’s match is a rematch of the 2024 Grand Final which saw the Brisbane Blaze record a sensational victory against the Canberra Chill in front of a vocal Canberran crowd. The Blaze are looking to assert their dominance once again and continue their winning streak.
The event will be packed with family-friendly activities, including free entry for kids under 16, food trucks, free face painting, and an appearances by Burnie Blaze, the team’s beloved mascot! There will also be a range of kids’ activities to ensure fun for the whole family.

Brisbane State High School Year 12 student Karissa van der Wath will make her debut at just 18 years of age.
Whilst the third Mathison sibling, Camryn, returns to the side after debuting in the 2023 Finals Series last year as a 17 year old.
Hannah Cullum-Sanders is resting after a minor injury in the Blaze’s first game last weekend.
