Asia: AHF Give Back to Forest Initiative: Planting the Seeds of Sustainability in Lahore -Pakistan

In a significant stride towards a greener future, the “Give Back to Forest” initiative, part of the FIH Sustainability Strategy, was organized by the Dar Hockey Academy . This noble project saw enthusiastic participation from hockey athletes, local community members,Dar Hockey Academy officials and distinguished guests, all committed to environmental conservation.

The event was graced by living legend Olympic Gold Medalist Tauqeer Dar , Former olympion ,captain Tahir Zaman , Director Asian Hockey Federation Ghulam Ghous joined the Dar Hockey academy , Pak Heroes Club and Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy young athletes, emphasizing the importance of fostering a sustainable and healthy environment for future generations.

A highlight of the day was the planting of 100 trees at the APS School Model town Hockey Venue, . Each tree planted symbolizes hope, growth, and a commitment to nurturing the environment.

The “Give Back to Forest” initiative is more than just a tree-planting event; it is a celebration of community spirit and a shared vision for a greener tomorrow. By involving local athletes and community members, the Dar Hockey Academy is fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

The trees planted today will provide shade and beauty, creating a welcoming and sustainable environment for athletes and spectators alike.
