Scotland: Scotland men’s squad announced for first official test match against Wales in Glasgow

Scotland`s 2-1 win in the opening game of a three match series on Thursday was encouraging for head coach Jonny Caren as he embarks on the build-up for the European Qualifier in Vienna later this summer.

The Scots carry a squad with seven players set to earn their first cap for the country.

Ahead to today’s match, Head Coach Jonny Caren said “Today is a really unique and special occasion as we cap seven new senior internationals. Their hard work over the last 12 months has put them in this position today to represent their country. It is also important to mention the rest of the squad that has pushed these guys to the level fitting of a senior international.”

“The first game of the series was a very tight affair with Wales having a lot of possession and us focus on our defensive game. Today we look forward to showing what we can do on the ball as much as off the ball. It’s great to have Struan Walker back representing Scotland after a fantastic debut season with GB.”
