Scotland’s U21 women’s squad has been announced for the 2024 U21 Women’s EuroHockey Championship II-B in Konya, Turkey.
The tournament takes place on 16-20 July with the winner earning qualification for the Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cup next year, at a destination yet to be announced.
It’s a huge opportunity for the squad to make history as 2005 was the last time Scotland U21 women qualified for the Junior World Cup, and qualification would be Scotland’s third appearance in the women’s world cup.
Ukraine will be Scotland’s first opponents in the tournament when they meet in the first game of the competition, on 16 July. Poland will be next on 17 July before Turkey on 19 July. On 20 July there will be crossover matches.
