Scotland: Scotland women’s EuroHockey Qualifier matches to streamed by BBC

Scotland women’s EuroHockey Qualifier matches will be streamed live on the BBC iPlayer and website as they bid for European qualification on home soil.

Austria will be Scotland’s first opponents as they take to the pitch on Saturday at 14:15 to kick start their appearance at the tournament, which runs from 22-25 August 2024.

The winner will play in the tournament final on Sunday at 13:15, and the loser will play for bronze at 12:00 on Sunday. The BBC will broadcast the match Scotland plays in.

The Scots are competing for a place in the Women’s EuroHockey Championships 2025, to be held at the Warsteiner HockeyPark in Monchengladbach.

Czech Republic; Wales; Austria; Lithuania and Croatia will also compete in the knockout tournament, and only the tournament winner will claim the coveted position, and take their place at the top table of European hockey.

The Scotland women’s national team will welcome their GB athletes back into the squad following the Paris Olympics. The Scots have good pedigree in EuroHockey tournaments, having competed in back-to-back EuroHockey Championships, and winning gold at EuroHockey Championship II the last time Scotland women played a tournament on home soil.

All matches at the Women’s EuroHockey Qualifier in Glasgow are also being broadcast on EuroHockey TV, and on Scottish Hockey’s YouTube channel.

Tickets are still available for both days to cheer the team on in person.
