The America East (AE) Championship bracket is officially set, with six teams heading into postseason action and Vermont clinching the No. 1 seed — and its first-ever regular season title — after a statement year in Burlington. Play begins Sunday, November 2, as No. 4 UMass Lowell hosts No. 5 Maine, while No. 3 UAlbany welcomes No. 6 Bryant. The semifinals will follow on Tuesday, November 4, hosted by top-seeded Vermont, with the championship slated for Friday, November 7.

Reigning 2024 AE champion Vermont closed its record-setting season in convincing fashion, shutting out Maine 4-1 in the finale to secure the top spot outright. Their semifinal opponent will be the winner of the UMass Lowell and Maine quarterfinal.

Second-seeded New Hampshire shared the regular-season crown with Vermont but fell to the Catamounts in tiebreakers. The Wildcats ride into postseason form after following a dominant 6-0 Senior Day win over Bryant, featuring two goals and an assist from junior captain Katheljine Knuttel. New Hampshire awaits the winner between UAlbany and Bryant.

UAlbany enjoyed an overtime thriller to close out the regular season. The Great Danes defeated UMass Lowell 3-2 behind a golden goal from Tessa Overgoor, who has seven goals on the season and remains one of the conference’s most dynamic offensive threats.

UMass Lowell will have home-field advantage for its opening round match against Maine, a rematch of a closely fought 2-1 contest earlier this fall. The River Hawks, led by forward Karlijn Kerkhof, enter with a comeback attitude after dropping their final two games of the season.

Bryant rounds out the field, marking its first America East postseason appearance since joining the conference in 2022. The Bulldogs have relied on offensive power Callie Caito, who has tallied seven goals this season, and will face a tall task against a UAlbany team that defeated them 3-0 in mid-October.
