Great Britain: 100 days to go until Paris 2024!

The clock continues to wind down until the Olympic torch relay reaches its destination in the Tuileries Garden, opposite the Louvre, signifying the start of the 30th Summer Olympic Games.

Seven miles away from the eternal flame, just north-west of Paris, is where GB Hockey will undertake their bid for Olympic success. The Yves du Manoir stadium will host 15 nations across the men’s and women’s with action beginning on Saturday 27 July.

The iconic site hosted the 1924 Olympic Games as well as being the climactic setting for the 1981 film classic ‘Chariots of Fire’.

GB Men will get the hockey underway as they face Spain in the opening match of the Games, whilst the women will begin their tournament on Sunday against the same opposition.

The women have been drawn into Pool B where alongside Spain they will meet Australia, Argentina, United States and South Africa.

On the men’s side in Pool A; Netherlands, Germany, France and South Africa will fill their remaining group-stage matches.

The men’s schedule runs one day earlier than the women’s with the quarterfinals beginning on Sunday 4 August all the way until the final on Thursday 8 August / Friday 9 August for the women.

Having secured passage to the Games in January in Valencia and Oman respectively, GB will continue its preparations in June at the FIH Pro League, at Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre with tickets still available on selected dates.
