India: Day 1 Results: 3rd Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship

~Indian Oil Corporation beat All India Police Sports Control Board 3-2~

~Sashastra Seema Bal beat Tamil Nadu Police 3-0~ 

~Railway Sports Promotion Board beat UCO Bank Women’s Hockey Academy 11-0~ 

~Sports Authority of India beat Union Bank of India 1-0~ 

New Delhi, 15th November 2023: The first day of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship saw Indian Oil Corporation, Sashastra Seema Bal, Railway Sports Promotion Board and Sports Authority of India winning their respective games.  

In the first match of the day, Indian Oil Corporation defeated All India Police Sports Control Board 3-2 in Pool B. Jyoti (4’), Sharmila Devi (20’) and Deepika (51’) scored the goals for Indian Oil Corporation while Yashika Negi (6’) and Jyoti (43’) scored one goal each for All India Police Sports Control Board.  

In the second match of the day, Sashastra Seema Bal defeated Tamil Nadu Police 3-0 in Pool B. Captain Rajni Bala (40’, 49’) and Ranjita Minj (51’) scored the goals for Sashastra Seema Bal.  

In the third match of the day, Railway Sports Promotion Board defeated UCO Bank Women’s Hockey Academy 11-0 in Pool A. Gurjit Kaur (53’, 54’, 60’), Monika (26’, 45’), Alka Dungdung (17’), Shilpi Dabas (22’), Navneet Kaur (38’), Devika Sen (42’), Captain Vandana Katariya (46’) and Aishwarya Chavan (55’) were the goalscorers for Railway Sports Promotion Board.  

In the final match of the day, Sports Authority of India defeated Union Bank of India 1-0 in Pool A. Pooja Yadav (42’) scored the winning goal for Sports Authority of India.
